Ashish Tirkey hails from the tribal land of Bastar Chhattisgarh, India. To fulfill his love for Indian jungles he quit his Engg. job and joined Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal (2007). He did his specialization in Wildlife Conservation & Environment Management.
He says, “I am sure it happens with you all too when you land up in a forest domain that you start realizing the beauty of nature, chirping of birds, smell of the forest, a pretermit solitude and an excitement to encounter wild animals. So let’s not forget it and preserve it as our own child.”

Nipun was born in Bihar & brought up in Delhi. From his childhood days he was fond of birds, insects and butterflies. He completed his Masters in Environment followed by M.Phil in Natural Resource Management from IIFM with Specialization in Ecotourism. He then worked with eminent wildlife filmmaker Mr. Mike Pandey on human elephant conflict in Chhattisgarh.
Currently he is Operations Manager & Naturalist at Kabini, (Jungle Lodges & Resorts) Nagarhole Tiger Reserve, Karnataka India
